Currently, this is one of my very favorite knitted projects.....
This is knit out of a handspun shetland roving from Crown Mountain Fibers. I was shocked by the softness of the yarn. I always thought shetland was supposed to be course and scratchy. Anyway - I'm sure you get the Idea.....I like this scarf. I'll wear it tucked into the neck of a coat this winter. A cross between a traditional scarf and a cowl....kind of anyway.
And BG's favorite thing:
Trying to keep cool on yet another hot, humid, summer day!!

The scarf really is lovely. I think you get extra points for modeling it in hot, humid weather. We'll try to bring some cool weather with us when we come!
I really like that scarf!! I agree, rich deep browns.
Thanks for the link to a pretty scarf pattern, and thanks too for visiting my blog. Looks like BG loves the water!
Love the scarf...you do beautiful work!
Nice scarf, Kathy. Hope my Shetland will be as soft as yours.
Beautiful scarf. I love that wonderful rich brown! I'd like to join BG in that sprinkler. This heat is crazy!
The scarf is a dazzler! I could only dream of hand spun yarn, the colors are rich and I love the fact that it has several colors in it, it will go with so many things! Hope your darling little princess is having an easier time with her allergies this year.
Love the scarf and the rich brown colors too. BG is getting to be such a grown up little boy too and love that he's playing in the sprinkler!
OH my thats lovely ...I have to make one but I like your alterations to it better than the origional..did you write it down?
Have a great weekend
Wow what a beautiful scarf/cowl. I will have to put that one in my queue so I can knit it too.
Your scarf is, as always, sheer perfection, Kathy! I love the flecks of color throughout and the picot bind off really sets it apart....beautiful knitting job as always.
