Knit Unto Others....

These are the 12 "pairs" (and I use that term loosely) that I knit for CIC for their current challenge to collect mittens of Akkol. This is also for submission for the "Knit Unto Others" Drive. I used up a great pile of mismatched odds and ends of self-patterning sock yarns. The end result - somewhat questionalbe as to extent of beauty (vbg), but they will all be warm, non the less. 120 warmed digits!!

Kathy,
Thank you for the mittens for CIC/Akkol. Are they in the mail and I should add them to challenge list?
I think they are beautiful... does feel good to use up those little balls of yarn.

You were a busy busy knitter for those two weeks.

The mittens look great. I think Elizabeth's goal of 75 pair is going to be beat by double, at least I hope so.

Your mittens are great! Don't forget that a 9 yr. old knows what kids like, and are honest about it!

I think these are terrific - I'm now eyeing my huge stash of sock leftovers and wondering what I can do with them. Great job!

I saw that you said they may be lacking in beauty. I think they're GORRRGEOUS. I'd like a bigger picture to see details.

WOW! What beautiful mittens! You've inspired me to use my sock yarn leftovers I'll have after finishing all the socks I'm knitting for Christmas. Good luck with those husband socks...

I think those mittens came out GREAT!! And the fact that a 9 y/o thinks they are terrific just tells you that those kids will too. Kids are kids no matter where they live! Great job!
