Yes - everyone should have one! So - I added onto the bottom of my sweater! My DH (yes - darling man that he is) says it looks like it's supposed to be that way!! Sure!! - but he means well!
After I got the sleeves on, the body had shrunk even more - so, as a last resort. ... Then, I did not like the seams on the garter band, so -- a little creative detail stitching.
It will be warm!! Gotta remember that.....

It's adorable! I like your color choices much better than mine. I'll wait to see if I need to add another garter border but probably I won't. The "X'x" may be necessary. Great idea!
Adorable, bright and beautiful!! There is going to be one happy warm little child. I can imagine them all saying "I want THAT one!"
I agree with your husband. The addition was very artfully done and could easily have been planned as the original design by a good designer.

Actually it really does look like it belongs there. Unless someone has actually seen a sweater built the normal way they would probably think with all the weird colour blocks and textures that that strip at the bottom is exactly as it should be.
And I like it, and the stitches at the side seem are really neat looking!
You are going to make some kid incredibly happy :D
I Like this sweater!! The colorwork is very nice and not only will it keep a child warm, it will make them happy!
