Blankie 1 and Blankie 2

Today, BG and I picked up the little blankies that great grandma made for him. It was a bit of a chore for her, as she has not sewn anything for quite some time, but I think she did a very nice job! You might not be able to see, but all the little characters are "upright". Her memory still knows how to sew....even if it was a struggle. They are each about 18" total....just the perfect snuggle size for a little guy. One will stay here, and one will go home with him.

And for the mitered scarf, this is the yarn I have chosen to use. It's a skein of Lisa Souza, Sock!, colorway "Gendarme". Poor thing has been sitting in the stash bin since June 06. Colors are a little off - actually more of a burgandy, navy and deep gold. Not garish at all.
We'll get the next segment (right triangle) tomorrow. In the meantime - I need to get those Malabrigo socks done.
