"Sidewinders: A Perpensockular pattern." by Nona. To recap: This was a serialized pattern offered on Nonaknits. (Go for the details...go for the pattern...go for the fun!)
Circular size US2 (although knit back and forth, the flexibility of the cable needle was needed)
Opal yarn (colorway Hundertwassers Werk 897 Silver Spiral). AKA: Wild and crazy!
I am amazed at how well these socks fit. I have worn sock #1 while making sock #2 - testing the fit and feel...would it fall down? Stretch out? etc... Verdict is...it is a terrific fit! The pattern explains that gauge is critical, but once you get gauge, Nona offers a great deal of sizes from which to chose.
If anyone wants a very unique sock knitting experience, I would highly recommend this design.
Thanks Nona!
OK - Now, I must get back to my "Must have cardigan". I can see how folks get so many projects going on once....

EWE...I LOVE THEM! I went to the site and read the directions last night and I am pondering.........
What a fun way to use up some patterned yarn! Shh....don't tell..I like your socks better than the ones on the pattern site.
Nice to see the finished pair, they look terrific. And now you've got me thinking about strawberry rhubarb pie - my midwestern husband's favorite...
They are now officially on my list - I think I'll do the same as you and use up some self patterning yarn.
They look wonderful and are now on my list to do also.
I am jealous. I want to make these, but I have other socks to finish first.
Those are awesome! I am loving seeing how everyone's is turning out! I hope to knit these soon myself. (Hi, I'm from the SAM3 blog!)
OK. Now I KNOW I want to try this pattern!
happy almost birthday to you sofee.
that's a very nice picture of you.
your mommy's socks are so nice and pretty. She sure knows how to knit.
you can tell her I said so.

Nice work! Swift! Can I ask. Do you think you (ie me) :) could knit 2 at once? I usually knit socks magic loop 2 at the same time and don't really want to knit these separately....
Cuuute! Great yarn choice!
OK, I'm impressed! Have the yarn. Been following Nona's adventures. Should start some. Yours are beautiful. And really comfortable?
